The Kogi government has sought collaboration with the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) to improve the standard of technical and vocational education in the state.

He said that technical vocational education played a critical role in fostering self-reliance among individuals in the state and the nation as a whole.

The governor said there was a need to embrace contemporary trends in technical vocational education, adding that any society resistant to such advancement would face dire consequences.

He pledged to engage with relevant stakeholders to facilitate the realisation of NABTEB’s goals and objectives in the state.

Mr Ododo lauded the ongoing collaboration with the federal government to leverage national policies on technical vocational training education.

He affirmed the state’s dedication to advancing in vocational and technical education for the good of the people.

In an earlier address, the state coordinator of NABTEB, Pauline Ajibili, expressed gratitude to the Kogi government for consistently supporting the May and June NTC-NBA Examination for candidates from the State Government Technical College.

Ms Ajibili lauded Mr Ododo’s leadership, describing it as truly inspiring.
