Koko Zaria’s thug stabbed me; my life in danger: Nollywood actor Lawori

Nollywood actor, Ade ‘Lawori’ Adele, has cried out for help, accusing the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Ganiyu ‘Koko Zaria’ Oyedepo, of masterminding his being stabbed at a party in Lagos.
Lawori, in a video posted on social media on Monday, said, “I was MCing a programme when a guy came to tell me that someone was calling me. I asked, ‘Who is calling me?’ He said, Koko Zaria. So I handed over the mic to my partner and went to see Koko Zaria.
“When I met Koko Zaria, he asked if I did not see him and his friends at the party. So I apologised and told him that once I returned to the stage, I’d make corrections. A guy then asked, ‘Is this Lawori?’ I thought he was asking because he is seeing me for the first time. But before I turned my eyes from Koko Zaria, he picked a bottle of Martel right in front of Koko Zaria and struck me on my head.”
The Nollywood actor said Koko Zaria was a threat to his life and his job.
“I was drenched in my blood. I lost consciousness. I don’t know what I did. Nigerians, please help me. Since the attack, I’ve been in pain. I earn a living and sustain my family through MC job. If they continue with this kind of attack, I will be afraid to go for shows. What happened to some was not up to this, and they died. Please help me,” Lawori stated.
Koko Zaria, however, dismissed Lawori’s allegations as false in an Instagram post on Monday, saying, “I did not did not tell anyone to break Lawori’s head. He has never offended in any way. He once called for a job at Ajilete. We are so close. I saw the video in which he said I ordered that he be beaten and injured. Why would I do that when he did not offend me?”
Reacting to the video of Lawori’s allegations in a post on X on Monday, the police spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said, “This will be investigated, and justice will be served. Many people have called me on this case.”
