The Deeper Life Bible Church says its General Superintendent, Dr William Kumuyi, will lead the 2026 edition of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) in Abuja from June 24.

The FCT State Overseer of the church, Edison Daminabo, stated this at a news conference on Tuesday in Abuja.

Mr Daminabo said the crusade, with the theme, “Christ’s Wonder-Working Power,” had grown from a Nigerian evangelical outreach into a global movement spanning Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas and Australia.

He said the crusade was first held in Abuja in 2021 before expanding to other parts of Nigeria and later to several countries.

He described Mr Kumuyi as a globally respected teacher, preacher and evangelist whose ministry had impacted lives through the message of salvation, healing and deliverance.

“The primary focus of the crusade is salvation. While God heals the sick, delivers the oppressed and performs miracles, these are secondary to the central message of eternal life through Jesus Christ,” he said.

Mr Daminabo said many people with serious health challenges and other difficult situations had testified to divine intervention during previous editions of the programme.

He said the 2026 Abuja crusade would begin on June 24 at the church’s cathedral grounds, while subsequent sessions from June 26 would move to the National Stadium to accommodate the expected large turnout.

He said the programme would feature evening crusades, ministers’ conferences and youth-focused events, adding that it would be broadcast globally to enable participants from different parts of the world to join virtually.

Mr Daminabo described the choice of Abuja as strategic, noting that the Federal Capital Territory’s central location made it suitable for an event of such scale.

He appealed to journalists to support the dissemination of information about the crusade, describing the media as a critical partner in informing society.

The cleric said the crusade was aimed at providing hope and spiritual renewal amid global challenges, including conflict, economic hardship and social uncertainty.

According to him, the church remains committed to promoting peace, moral values and national development through prayer and support for good governance.

“The church supports government by serving as a moral foundation, guiding leaders, praying for them and encouraging them to make the right decisions,” he said.

Mr Daminabo said faith in God gives believers confidence and assurance of divine protection amid life’s challenges.

He said God’s power was greater than every human threat, including violence, insecurity and fear.

“When a person has God in his life, he gains confidence that God is able to protect and preserve him. Our trust is not in human strength but in the power of God,” he said.

He noted that previous editions of the crusade recorded peaceful gatherings without incidents such as stampedes, violence or other major safety concerns.

The cleric expressed optimism that the Abuja crusade would mark a new phase in the ministry’s outreach efforts and bring renewed hope to participants.

He added that despite his advancing age, Mr Kumuyi remained committed to evangelism and global outreach.

He stated that the programme was expected to attract 200,000 participants from across Nigeria and other countries, reinforcing its position as a platform for evangelism, spiritual renewal and transformation.
