Kwara APC primaries marred by late arrival of officials, materials

Late arrival of officials and election materials have affected the early commencement of the House of Assembly primaries of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in parts of Kwara South.
At 12:00 p.m., officials and election materials had yet to arrive at Omu-Aran, headquarters of Irepodun local government area of Kwara and Offa, headquarters of Offa area council.
The venue for the exercise for Ojomu Balogun Constituency, Offa, initially scheduled in a hotel, was later changed because the owner turned down the initial agreement to host the primary election.
It was gathered that the proprietor of the hotel was scared of an unforeseen crisis that might break out during the election.
Some party faithful and delegates were seen in groups discussing an alleged imposition of an aspirant in the Ojomu/Balogun constituency of Offa.
Some of them were heard saying they would not allow anyone to be imposed on them and demanded the conduct of the election.
