The Kwara Commissioner for Health, Amina El-Imam, says the state is committed to producing quality healthcare professionals.

Ms El-Imam stated this on Saturday in Shao, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara, during the 17th convocation and award of certificates ceremony at the Bartholomew College of Health Technology.

The commissioner described the institution as a crucial citadel of learning dedicated to producing quality health professionals.

She commended the college’s management for maintaining high academic standards and urged them to sustain their commitment to excellence in training healthcare workers.

The commissioner noted that the college had continued to complement government efforts in addressing the shortage of skilled health manpower in the state.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Sa’adatu Kawu, represented by the ministry’s director of tertiary education, Sheriffat Giwa, commended the institution’s management for their consistency in quality teaching and learning.

Ms Kawu identified the college as a dependable partner in the state’s quest to strengthen the health sector.

Earlier in his address, the provost of the college, Bartholomew Owoicho, congratulated the approximately 400 graduating students on their perseverance, discipline, and hard work throughout their academic pursuits.

Mr Owoicho charged them to uphold professionalism, ethical standards, and dedication to community service as they begin their careers in the health sector.
