Kwara govt approves installation of transformers for 11 communities

The communities include Araromi in Moro LG, Koko Araromi, Iffelodun, Pan African College Offa and Offa Poly in Offa.

The Kwara government has approved the installation of 11 transformers in some communities to boost access to regular electricity in the state.

Abdulwahab Whyte, the State Commissioner for Energy, stated this on Wednesday in Ilorin while addressing journalists in his office.

The communities include Araromi in Moro LG, Koko Araromi, Iffelodun, Pan African College Offa and Offa Poly in Offa.

Others are Itesiwaju in Akerebiata in Ilorin East, Babanloma in Ifelodun and Niger/ Taiwo community in Ilorin South, among others.

The Commissioner said the government’s gesture further demonstrated Governor AbdulRazaq’s passion for the welfare and the need to make various communities feel the positive impact of the administration.

He said the importance of electricity to human lives could not be overemphasised and promised other communities that government would also reach out to them.
