Kwara speaker thanks Gov. Abdulrazaq, Tinubu for securing APC governorship ticket

Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Yakubu Danladi, has thanked Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for keeping to his promise following his victory in the governorship primary election on Friday.
Mr Danladi was declared winner in the exercise after polling a total of 94,990 to defeat his rivals Yahaya Seriki who had 41,700 and Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa who secured 22,118 votes in the exercise.
Speaking shortly after the announcement, the speaker thanked the governor for his support and promised to build on the legacies of his administration if elected governor in 2027.
“I thank Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq. He is a man of promise; he has fulfilled his promise. He is a transformer and has done very well,” he stated.
Mr Danladi also thanked President Bola Tinubu for his fatherly role and support throughout the entire process.
The speaker added, “I need to appreciate Mr President. Truly he is the Jagaban Borgu. This is the first time since 1999 when a Borgu kingdom will have a governorship candidate from a ruling party. Sincerely, we thank the president for being the father of the nation.”
Appreciating the people of Kwara State for their support, Mr Danladi said other contestants in the election were winners.
“In the APC as we all know there is no loser, there is no winner. We are all winners. I need to thank Kwarans for standing by Kwara North,” he added.
