Lagos inaugurates newly renovated primary health centre in Agege

The Lagos State Health District 1, on Friday inaugurated a newly renovated primary health centre in Agege.
The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District 1, Dr Funmilayo Bankole, applauded the state government for investing in primary health care across the state.
Ms Bankole urged the residents of Agege to make use of the newly renovated facility.
“The Iloro Primary Health Care Centre is well equipped and safe for pregnant women to deliver their babies and other health related issues,” she said.
Ms Bankole also appreciated other major stakeholders present at the event, who played major roles in the renovation and face lift if the health centre.
The Medical Officer of Health Centre, Agege Local Government Area, Dr Olufunmilayo Ayegbusi, said it was a laudable development in Agege and a plus to the health care infrastructure development in the communities.
She said, “I am delighted to be part of this event and I also want to urge members of the Agege community to visit the centre often especially on issues relating to maternal and child health care.’’
Ms Ayegbusi urged the community members to prioritise their health conditions and ensure they go for check-ups from time to time.
The Supervisory Councillor for Health, Agege Local Government Council, Gbolahan Owolabi-Dada, represented the council chairman.
Other major stakeholders and community members attended the inauguration.
