Lagos LG Polls: Sanwo-Olu to meet APC leaders, candidates on Tuesday

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State plans a stakeholders’ parley with party leaders and candidates ahead of the July 12 local government elections.
The state All Progressives Congress’ (APC) publicity secretary, Seye Oladejo, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday in Lagos.
According to Mr Oladejo, the meeting will bring together APC leaders, elected and appointed officials, and all candidates contesting under the party’s platform.
It is scheduled to be held at noon on Monday at the State House, Marina.
“The meeting will serve as the rallying point for the mobilisation of our troops towards the local government elections,” Mr Oladejo said.
He added that “The APC in Lagos State appreciates the continued trust and support of residents in the party’s progressive ideals, which he said had driven the state’s unparalleled growth across various sectors.
“We’re confident that the landmark achievements of our local government councils in education, primary health care, housing, and social interventions, among others, will be rewarded with massive votes at the polls for all our candidates.”
The ruling party officially presented flags to its 57 chairmanship and 376 councillorship candidates on Tuesday.
The flag-off event, which also marked the commencement of the party’s campaign for the elections, was held at the APC state secretariat in Ogba.
