Lagos reaffirms bilateral liaison with Sweden on infrastructure, cybersecurity, others

The Lagos State Government has promised to continue strengthening its bilateral relationship with the Government of Sweden in information technology, cybersecurity and infrastructure for the benefit of the state.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu stated this when he received the Crown Princess of Sweden, Duchess of Vastergotland, Her Royal Highness, Alice Desiree, and her entourage on a courtesy visit to the Lagos House, Marina, on Tuesday.
Represented by the Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat, the governor expressed optimism that the collaboration of the Swedish representatives with the business community in Lagos would birth more development opportunities for mutual benefits.
“Welcome to the state of aquatic splendour, we hope that you take in the beauty of our historic state. I believe that after the meeting with the outreach Lagos business community, we will identify more areas of potential collaboration, we are hopeful that our meeting will be mutually beneficial,” he said.
In a brief remark, the Crown Princess of Sweden, Duchess of Vastergotland, Her Royal Highness, Ms Desiree, commended the Lagos State Government for being the economic backbone of Nigeria due to its huge business potential.
The Swedish Minister of Infrastructure and Housing, Andreas Carlsson, said that the goal of the visit was to foster strategic partnership and sign some memoranda of understanding.
