Lagos residents protest against poor electricity supply

The protesters who expressed frustration with the development also complained about estimated billings by the electricity providers.

Residents of the Fadeyi area of Lagos State on Thursday protested against the current incessant shortage of electricity supply in the area.

‎A video which circulated on social media shows the protesters peacefully marching and clutching placards with inscriptions bemoaning the erratic electricity supply to their community.
‎
‎The protesters who expressed frustration with the development also complained about estimated billings by the electricity providers.
‎
‎One protesters carried a placard with the inscription, “You are killing our business,
No more epileptic power supply, no light, no life, no nation.”
‎
‎The protest which drew the attention of passers-by and motorists exposed the worsening electricity supply in Nigeria despite privatisation and huge amount sunk into the sector.
‎
‎Many Nigerians have expressed frustration over the poor electricity supply with many calling out the power minister, Bayo Adelabu.
