LASU appoints new registrar, bursar

The Governing Council of the Lagos State University has approved the appointment of a new registrar, Emmanuel Fanu and bursar, Said Olayinka, for the university.

The Governing Council of the Lagos State University (LASU) has approved the appointment of a new registrar, Emmanuel Fanu and bursar, Said Olayinka, for the university.

LASU spokesman Ademola Adekoya announced this in a statement.

Mr Adekoya explained that the council also approved the appointment of Margaret Ogunkoya as LASU’s director of internal audit.

“The new registrar, Fanu, is a former acting registrar of the university, and until his new appointment, the deputy registrar, vice-chancellor’s office. The bursar, Olayinka, will serve a second tenure of four years in the position,” said the statement.

It added that Ms Ogunkoya, the new substantive internal audit director occupied the same position in acting capacity until confirmation of her appointment.

The statement added that the principal officers would assume duty on July 2. 

LASU vice-chancellor, Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, congratulated and wished them a successful tenure.

The tenure of the outgoing registrar, Olayinka Amuni, will end on July 1.
