The development was disclosed in a statement shared on Thursday on the X handle of the Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab.

According to the statement, the LAWMA intervention team carried out the exercise at Awoyaya, Ologunfe Bus Stop along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, NAFDAC Spot and the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway.

Other locations covered included Cele Bus Stop, Ijanikin, Leventis, Outer Marina, Iyana Ipaja, Isheri Olofin/Ira, Ketu-Ejinrin General Hospital and Ojuelegba Under-Bridge.

The statement said the exercise aimed at addressing waste accumulation, restoring environmental sanitation and improving public health across the state.

LAWMA reaffirmed its commitment to sustaining the intervention operations in affected areas to maintain a cleaner environment.

The authority also urged residents to adopt proper waste management practices and support ongoing sanitation efforts.
