LAWMA staff dies as he falls off truck

The accident happened at Alexander Road in Ikoyi on Saturday morning.

A staff of the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) identified as Nasiru Saheed was crushed to death by a truck on Saturday.

Mr. Nasiru, a utility staff of the waste management outfit died after he suddenly fell from a moving truck while handling the company’s waste machine.

The accident happened at Alexander Road in Ikoyi on Saturday morning.

The LAWMA management announced his death on their Twitter page Saturday evening, saying the company regrets the incident, but will be in touch with the family of the deceased.

The management stated that there is insurance coverage for the decease which his family will be benefitting from.
