Letter to the Editor: Peoples Gazette’s genial coverage of Bobrisky’s trial failed to consider Nigeria’s cultural virtues

The writer was wrong to cite instances that happened years ago in order to buttress the point that Bobrisky is being singled out.

Dear Editor,

I read this article online, and I would like to advise or suggest that one should consider our society’s ideals when writing an article.

This article pushes the image that the government is being unfair to Bobrisky, which is not supposed to be. Your job is to report the news and not take sides. Your information is supposed to be unbiased, neutral and accurate. The writer was wrong to cite instances that happened years ago in order to buttress the point that Bobrisky is being singled out.

You, as a new agency, cannot be biased in your information passing. The writer described the judicial process as “hurried.” Is a judicial process with glaring evidence supposed to take long?

Please take into consideration that we are trying to build our currency right now amidst the economic challenges, and the writer is citing an instance from last August.

I’m not for anybody losing their job, but this particular writer needs to be called to order.
