Liam Payne: Hotel manager, receptionist charged with manslaughter
Five persons have been charged in connection with the death of former One Direction singer Liam Payne.
Mr Payne tragically fell off the balcony of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Among those charged with manslaughter are hotel manager Gilda Martin, receptionist Esteban Grassi, and Payne’s friend Roger Nores.
Hotel employee Ezequiel Pereyra and waiter Braian Paiz are facing charges of supplying drugs to the singer, according to a statement from Argentina’s prosecutor’s office.
Judge Laura Bruniard has ruled to move forward with the case, allowing defendants’ lawyers the opportunity to appeal the decision. Should the appeals fail, the trial phase will commence.
