Lionel Messi’s father dies at 68

Jorge Messi, the father of Argentina football star Lionel Messi, is dead.
Mr Messi died on Friday night in a hospital in Rosario at the age of 68, local media outlets Infobae and Diario Olé reported.
According to reports, Mr Messi, who had been hospitalised for some days, died after a prolonged illness.
Aside from being the father of the football star, Mr Messi was also his son’s agent during his lifetime.
