List of Premier League stars expected to shine in 2026/2027 season

The new 2026/2027 EPL season kicked off on Saturday with Arsenal starting its title defence with a comfortable 3-0 victory over newly promoted Coventry City.
Several clubs have strengthened their squads in the summer transfer window, adding top quality players as they prepare for the demanding campaign across all competitions.
Here is the list of Premier League players expected to shine in the new campaign.
1: Myles Lewis-Skelly – Arsenal
The young versatile English defensive midfielder is a key talent to watch for in the new campaign. In Arsenal’s opening fixture, the 19-year-old put a remarkable hold on the midfield for the Gunners.
2: Brian Madjo – Aston Villa
The 17-year-old centre-forward showed great quality for Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup, scoring a crucial goal after failing to convert several chances in the opening minutes of the match. Madjo is a huge addition to Unai Emery’s side for the coming season.
3: Youri Tielemans – Manchester United
Tielemans was a fantastic decision for United as the Belgian comes into the team not just as a newcomer but as one of the most proven and technical midfielders in England’s top flight, who is versatile in all areas of the midfield.
4: Caleb Yirenkyi – Coventry City
Caleb Yirenkyi is another exceptional talent with high expectations for the new season. The Ghanaian is a huge addition to Frank Lampard’s side. The midfielder is a brilliant ball carrier with an ability to progress and read the game.
5: Zion Suzuki – Aston Villa
The Japanese goalkeeper is widely regarded as one of Asia’s top talents. The shot-stopper is eyed as a key player under Unai Emery to look forward to in the new campaign. Suzuki is efficient in long-range distribution and calm under pressure.
6: Gonzalo García – Fulham
Garcia was one of the most promising talents to come out of Real Madrid’s youth programme. Last season the 22-year-old scored 12 goals and provided four assists in all competitions.
7: Morgan Rogers – Chelsea
The young attacking midfielder’s move to Stamford Bridge offers Chelsea a boost to their squad depth with a world-class talent, while also improving the club’s attacking options.
8: Joao Pedro – Chelsea
Chelsea’s new No. 9 is another player to look forward to in the new campaign. The striker scored 26 goals and provided seven assists last season. Under Xabi Alonso’s leadership, he is expected to play an important role in the club’s project of challenging for major trophies.
9: Shea Lacey -Manchester United
The youngster is another promising talent from Manchester United’s Carrington academy to watch in the new campaign. Lacey had some key moments during his appearances last season, delivering glimpses of the quality and creativity he could bring to United’s first team.
10: Johan Manzambi – Aston Villa
The Swiss international impressed at the recently concluded 2026 FIFA World Cup, where he registered three goals and an assist. Before the tournament, he had also enjoyed a productive season with Freiburg, scoring seven goals and providing six assists
11: Sangare Mamadou – Brentford
The 24-year-old midfielder is good at changing the game and creating impressive goal-scoring opportunities which will contribute to Keith Andrews’ side. Before joining the Bees the 24-year-old secured three goals and four assists in 29 appearances, helping Lens clinch the Coupe de France.
12: Bruno Guimarães – Arsenal
The Brazilian is one of the most defensive midfielders to look out for in the new campaign, and his move to Arsenal proves why his addition is much needed as they defend their EPL title with their European fixtures.
13: Sandro Tonali – Tottenham Hotspur
The Italian midfielder is also another versatile player who is composed and efficient in deep positions in the midfield with an incredible defensive work rate. Aside for his defensive qualities the 27-year-old is also remarkable at progressing the ball.
14: Christos Tzolis — Arsenal
The former Club Brugge winger last season registered 43 goals and 45 assists in 108 appearances. In his debut for Arsenal on Friday he proved his effectiveness and contribution to the team setting the pace of the game and creating multiple chances in the final third.
