LIVE: Voting, news analysis and results as Akeredolu, Ajayi, Jegede enter #OndoDecides

From the swampy maze of creeks and estuaries in Ilaje to the rocky mountains of Idanre, voters across Ondo State are trooping to the polls today to elect their leaders for the next four years.
Electoral office, INEC, says 1,478,460 residents have collected their voting credentials and are ready to exercise their franchise from 8:30 a.m. when the poll opens until 2:30 p.m. when ballot areas would be shut to introduce the counting phase.
Seventeen political parties are participating in the governorship election this year, but only incumbent Rotimi Akeredolu of APC; Agboola Ajayi of ZLP and Eyitayo Jegede of PDP are seen as a shoo-in for a dramatic showdown.
Mr. Akeredolu is seeking a second term of four years, which either Messrs. Ajayi and Jegede could deny him.
Peoples Gazette reporters will provide real-time updates of the exercise throughout the day. Stay with us:
