Makinde congratulates Adeleke, urges INEC to conduct credible 2027 elections

Governor Seyi Makinde has congratulated Ademola Adeleke on his re-election, stating, “It is a victory for democracy and the teeming people of Osun.”
In a statement on Sunday by the Oyo governor’s chief press secretary, Suleimon Olanrewaju, Mr Makinde hailed the Osun governor for reaping the reward for serving his people.
Mr Adeleke served his people with commitment, delivering good governance and achieving several milestones, the Oyo governor noted.
Mr Makinde, the vice-chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, also lauded the people of Osun for showing politicians where power lies by voting with firmness and courage.
He urged Mr Adeleke to see his re-election as an encouragement to deliver more development to the state.
The Oyo governor commended the Independent National Electoral Commission for conducting a credible election. According to him, the off-cycle election is a litmus test for the 2027 general election.
He urged the commission not to let Nigerians down in the 2027 general election.
