Makinde-Daura campaign organisation seeks quick rescue of abducted corpers

The Makinde/Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation has called on President Bola Tinubu to step up efforts in securing the release of the prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members recently abducted in Imo State.
The organisation’s Director of Strategic Communications, Richard Ihediwa, in a statement in Abuja on Sunday, said the Federal Government owed it a duty to protect Nigerian youths.
“Immediately a Nigerian youth is called up for NYSC, his security and wellbeing becomes the exclusive responsibility of the federal government,” he said.
According to him, one hour in captivity is one hour too long, while one victim in captivity is one victim too many.
Mr Ihediwa noted that public concerns had grown as families and stakeholders awaited definitive updates on the incident.
He urged the authorities to deploy all necessary resources to bring the affected youths and other captives back home safely, to the warm embrace of their loved ones.
“We call on President Tinubu to act now; deal decisively with insecurity and bring back the abducted corps members and others languishing in the hands of their abductors,” Ihediwa said.
