Makinde presents N79.3 billion supplementary budget to Oyo assembly

Governor Seyi Makinde has presented a supplementary budget of N79.337 billion to the Oyo State House of Assembly for legislative consideration and approval.
Adebo Ogundoyin, the House speaker, disclosed this on Tuesday in Ibadan while reading a message from the executive arm of government during plenary.
The supplementary budget scaled through the first reading and was subsequently committed to the House Committee on Finance, Appropriation, Budget and Economic Planning for further scrutiny.
The state is currently implementing the 2024 Appropriation Bill of over N438.4 billion.
According to the message to the House, the supplementary budget would enable a realignment of the recurrent and capital expenditure for the state’s services in the year ending on December 31.
