Makinde to present 2026 budget proposal to assembly on Monday

Gov. Seyi Makinde of Oyo State will present the 2026 Appropriation Bill to the state House of Assembly on November 24.
This is contained in a statement issued in Ibadan on Monday by the special adviser to the governor on media, Suleimon Olanrewaju.
According to the statement, the 2026 budget estimate will be the seventh appropriation bill the governor will be presenting to the lawmakers since his election in 2019.
It said that the state government had held a series of stakeholders’ consultative and engagement meetings on the 2026 budget across the seven zones of the state.
The meeting, according to the statement, was held to engage residents of the state to express their expectations for the 2026 Budget.
“The State Executive Council, ministries, departments and agencies concluded the Treasury Board meeting on the Budget estimate on Monday, with the governor set to present the same to legislators next week,” it read.
