Mamman Giwa assumes duty as 29th police commissioner in Enugu

Mamman Giwa has assumed duty as the 29th police commissioner of the Enugu command.
Mr Giwa, who succeeded the former Commissioner, Mr Kanayo Uzuegbu, who was recently promoted to assistant inspector general of police and redeployed, resumed duty on Tuesday.
This was disclosed in a statement on Wednesday.
Mr Giwa, on resumption of duty in Enugu, sought the cooperation of residents to help the police achieve its mandate of securing lives and property.
He pledged commitment to implementing a professional, proactive, and people-friendly policing strategy.
