Mammoth crowd throng Daura for durbar in honour of Buhari

Thousands of people from within and outside the country on Tuesday witnessed the special durbar organised in honour of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
The Daura Emirate Council organised the durbar to appreciate the former president’s service to the nation.
The former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, thanked everyone who answered the invitation to Daura to rejoice with them.
The former president, who is the “Bayajidda II”, together with his wife, Aisha, received accolades from the horse riders.
The event was attended by the former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, former Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari, and the majority of the ministers who served under Mr Buhari.
Governor Dikko Umar-Radda, his deputy, Faruk Lawal, Emir of Katsina, Abdulmumini Kabir-Usman, former commissioners, and religious and community leaders were among the attendees of the epochal occasion.
Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno, Emir of Bichi, Nasiru Ado-Bayero, and traditional rulers from the neighbouring Niger Republic were also in attendance.
The national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu, renowned business mogul and chairman of Max Air Ltd, Dahiru Mangal, also graced the event.
A book on the former president was unveiled during the event.
