Man City get Liverpool in FA Cup quarterfinals; Arsenal to play Southampton

Manchester City will face Liverpool in a high-profile match for a place in the semifinals of the 2025/26 Emirates FA Cup after the draw for the last eight of the competition was conducted on Monday.
City beat Newcastle United 3-1 over the weekend to reach the quarterfinals as Liverpool also defeated Wolves by the same scoreline Molineux Stadium to progress to the round.
The FA Cup might be Liverpool’s only chance of landing a silverware this season, with the Premier League title seemingly out of reach and the massive competition in the Champions League.
In the other quarterfinal matches, record-winners Arsenal will face Championship side Southampton at the Saint Mary’s Park and would be hoping to scale through to extend their record.
Chelsea will host Port Vale, the lowest-ranked club remaining in the competition, while Leeds United will play the winner of Monday’s match between Brentford and West Ham United.
The quarterfinal fixtures will take place on April 4, 2026.
