Man nabbed for allegedly conspiring with two others to rob mother, siblings in Adamawa

The police command in Adamawa State has arrested three suspects in connection with a robbery attack on a family at Wuro Kuturu, Jimeta area in the state.

A statement by the command’s spokesperson, Suleiman Nguroje on Friday, said the incident occurred on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at about midnight, when the victim’s son allegedly conspired with two others, armed themselves with dangerous weapons and gained entry into the family residence, where they robbed his mother and siblings of ₦200,000 cash, two phones and a power bank.

The suspects were identified as Aminu Adamu, Adamu Mamman and Nuhu Umar all of Wuro Kuturu, Nassarawo in the Yola North Local Government Area of the state.

The command explained that the suspects were arrested by operatives attached to Karewa Area Command on Thursday, September 17, 2026, following a report lodged by the mother.

“Items recovered from the suspects include a knife, pliers, scissors, various suspected hard drugs and a quantity of suspected Indian hemp,” the statement said.

The state police commissioner, Kabir Umar Hassan, directed a thorough investigation into the development, noting the suspects should be diligently prosecuted upon completion of investigation.

The command reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and property, urging members of the public to remain vigilant and promptly report suspicious activities to the police.
