Man Utd suspend Mason Greenwood for allegedly raping, brutalising his girlfriend

Top English side Manchester United have suspended Mason Greenwood after he was accused of raping and brutalising his girlfriend.
Greenwood came under fire after a video, photographs and voice note said to be his and his girlfriend’s conversation emerged on Instagram on Sunday.
United in a statement on Sunday admitted awareness of the allegations circulating on social media, announcing Greenwood’s suspension from training and other activities at the club.
“Mason Greenwood will not return to training or play matches until further notice,” United said, adding that the club “does not condone violence of any kind.”
Also, Greater Manchester Police said an investigation had commenced against Greenwood “to establish the full circumstances.”
Greenwood, 20, joined United from Bradford. He has made 129 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 35 goals since his debut in 2019.
