Manchester City beat Crystal Palace 3-0 at the Etihad narrowing the gap to two points behind league leaders Arsenal while also increasing their goal difference advantage.

Midweek Premier League action saw Pep Guardiola’s rotation masterclass move City back within two points of Arsenal as the title race continues to heat up.

City opened the scoring with a delightful goal from Antonio Semenyo, who fired home a first-time shot after a lovely assist from Phil Foden.

In the 40th minute just before half-time, Omar Marmoush doubled the lead with another assist from Foden, helping the City star reach 100 goal contributions for the club.

After a commanding first half from the home side, Savinho added the third goal with a brilliant curled effort from a precise assist by Rayan Cherki, showing his quality.

The goal was Savinho’s second Premier League goal for Manchester City after failing to score in his previous 34 league appearances since netting against Leicester City in April 2025.

Oliver Glasner’s side now sits 15th in the Premier League table with a difficult schedule ahead, first facing Brentford away from home before hosting Arsenal at Selhurst Park, and then clashing with Rayo Vallecano in the Conference League final.

Manchester City and Arsenal both still have games left to play as the Gunners face Burnley and Crystal Palace in their push to secure the title, while City have three matches remaining including a crucial FA Cup final against Chelsea before league clashes against Bournemouth and Aston Villa.
