Manchester United knock Liverpool out of FA Cup

Manchester United defeated rivals Liverpool 3-2 at the Old Trafford on Sunday to proceed to the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Mo Salah’s brace in the game was not enough to lift Liverpool beyond the fourth round of Britain’s most prestigious football competition.
The Egyptian gave Liverpool an early lead, scoring 18 minutes into the first half. Mason Greenwood netted an equaliser for the Red Devils in the 28th minute.
Marcus Rashford made it two for the home side in the 48th minute. However, Salah gave Liverpool an equaliser in the 58th minutes.
A superb free kick by Bruno Fernandez in the 78th minute gave the in form Manchester side the victory, ending Liverpool’s FA Cup dream this season.
United will face Premier League side West Ham in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
An FA Cup trophy could save Manchester United coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job beyond this season.
Meanwhile, Chelsea defeated League two side, Luton 3-1, to proceed to the next round of the same competition. A hat trick from forward Tammy Abraham saw the Blues advance as Luton offered little promise and could only reply with a goal.
FA Cup defending champion Arsenal crashed out of the FA Cup on Saturday, following a defeat to Southampton.
