Manchester United secured a crucial three points at Selhurst Park, coming from a one-goal deficit to score twice after the break and seal a 2–1 win.
Liverpool also completed a successful trip to the capital with a comfortable 2–0 victory over West Ham.
In South London, Ruben Amorim’s men pulled off a decent comeback against Crystal Palace after going a goal down from the penalty spot. The victory followed a disappointing home defeat to Everton at Old Trafford.
The match began with the home side applying early pressure, with impressive performances from Adam Wharton, Yeremy Pino and Jean-Philippe Mateta.
After 32 minutes, Palace were awarded a penalty following a clumsy challenge by Leny Yoro on Mateta inside the box. The first attempt was ruled out after a VAR check for a double touch, but the second was calmly converted to give the hosts the lead.
After the half-time whistle, United looked sharper, creating better chances from set-pieces and showing more progression in the final third, although their finishing still lacked precision early on.
The equaliser arrived through Joshua Zirkzee, who fired in a brilliant effort from the left side of the box, ending a 24-game goal drought. The goal came from a good delivery by Bruno Fernandes and marked his first league goal since December 2024.
United then completed the comeback in the 63rd minute when Mason Mount buried a powerful low-driven shot past Dean Henderson, registering his second goal of the season. Fernandes also picked up his fifth assist of the campaign.
The defeat was a big blow for the Eagles, as it marked their first home loss and ended their unbeaten run at Selhurst Park. It was also a disappointing way to mark Oliver Glasner’s 200th game as a manager in Europe’s top five leagues.
Palace currently sit ninth on the table, while Manchester United move up to seventh. Palace will face Burnley on Wednesday, with United set to take on West Ham at home on Thursday.
Over in East London, Liverpool returned to winning ways with a 2–0 victory over West Ham after suffering disappointing defeats in both domestic competitions and the Champions League.
It was a tight and difficult opening 45 minutes at the London Stadium, with clear chances hard to come by. West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola was called into action early, denying efforts from Wirtz and Isak as both sides struggled to find the breakthrough.
After the break, the intensity from the visitors picked up. Liverpool finally found the opener through Alexander Isak, who finished a perfectly-timed shot past Areola as the Swedish striker registered his first Premier League goal with a neat assist from Cody Gakpo.
The home side did not relent, pushing forward in search of an equaliser. However, their task became even harder when Lucas Paquetá was shown a red card, leaving the Hammers with ten men for the closing stages.
Liverpool took full advantage of the numerical edge and added a second goal in stoppage time. Cody Gakpo got on the scoresheet, firing home with an assist from Joe Gomez to seal the win.
The result moves Liverpool up to eighth place, ending a three-game winless run, while West Ham’s difficult campaign continues as they drop to 17th, level on points with Leeds United.
Next up, Liverpool will host Sunderland on Thursday, while West Ham head to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United.
Elsewhere, Sunday’s Premier League action saw Aston Villa edge bottom-placed Wolves 1–0 thanks to a goal from Boubacar Kamara, while Brighton secured a 2–0 win with goals from Maxim De Cuyper and Stefanos Tzimas.
