Many Nigerians hate, abuse me but I care for everyone as president: Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday said he is aware that many Nigerians hate him but he remains the leader of the country responsible for safety and protection of the citizens.
“Not everyone will like you in politics, they hate me like hell too. But I’m here, I am the President,” Mr Tinubu said at a meeting with stakeholders in Benue State Government House, Makurdi.
He stated, “Under democratic regime, I promised to protect my abusers and accusers. Abuse me all you want.”
Mr Tinubu ordered the security agents to hunt criminals terrorising Benue State, expressing surprise that no arrest had been made after the Yelewata massacre that left hundreds dead.
Mr Tinubu has been under fire for keeping mum over the Yelewata massacre 24 hours after the incident before deciding to cancel project inauguration in Kaduna State for the visit.
