May Day: Ogun speaker urges workers to be more dedicated, hardworking

The speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Oluwadaisi Elemide, has urged workers in the state to strive for excellence and uphold the values of hard work, integrity, and dedication.
Mr Elemide gave the advice in a statement by his media aide, Kunle Idowu, on Thursday in Abeokuta.
He said that the theme of the 2025 workers’ day: “Reclaiming the Civic Space in the Midst of Economic Hardship”, aptly describes the resilience of every Nigerian worker.
Mr Elemide urged the workers to ensure that the core mandate of the Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration was achieved with a high level of dedication, perseverance and commitment.
“You have conscientiously helped to advance the cause of massive and unprecedented development ongoing in the state. You are the nucleus of the achievements of this administration in terms of policies and programmes at all times. Most of you do go the extra mile to help deliver on the mandate of this administration.
“On this auspicious occasion of Workers’ Day, I, Rt Hon. Daisi Elemide, extend my warmest regards and heartfelt appreciation to all the hard-working and dedicated workers of Ogun State.
” Your undaunted commitment and tireless efforts are the backbones of our state, and it is only fitting that we take a moment to honour and celebrate your invaluable contributions,” he said.
The speaker said that he was particularly delighted to enjoy the commitment and dedication of workers in the state in their efforts, ensuring that they played their roles in taking the state to enviable heights.
“I must say these commitments have significantly led to the unprecedented development going on in different strata of the Ogun State economy and it has led to the Implementation of the ISEYA mantra of the present administration. As we celebrate Worker’s Day, let us not only reflect on the achievements of the past but also look forward to a brighter future for all workers in Ogun State.
“Together, we can overcome challenges that may come our way and work towards building a more prosperous and equitable society for all. Your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed, and I am proud to stand in solidarity with each and every one of you.
“I urge all workers in Ogun State to continue to strive for excellence and uphold the values of hard work, integrity, and dedication in all that you do. Your contributions are invaluable, and your efforts are deeply appreciated. As workers, just know that the society holds you in very high esteem because you are indispensable to societal advancement,” Mr Elemide said.
