Mbaka withdraws prayers for Buhari, blesses Nnamdi Kanu for defending Igbos
Father Ejike Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry, has withdrawn his prayers from President Muhammadu Buhari and blessed the on-the-run IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
Mr Buhari is the elected president of Nigeria, while Mr Kanu is seen as a secessionist advocating the Biafra Republic.
In his latest diatribe directed at the incumbent president, Mr Mbaka blessed Mr Kanu while withdrawing his prayers for Mr Buhari.
“I do not know Nnamdi Kanu,” he stated. “I have never seen him face to face.”
Continuing, he told his congregants, “Look at my hand on the altar. But I want to tell you something: wherever he is, may God bless him.”
Explaining why he chose to bless a fugitive instead of the embattled Mr Buhari, the clergy pointed out, “Because if somebody has risen up to shout that his brothers and sisters are suffering, is it a crime?
“May the Lord bless his courage. What is happening is heart rendering. Can our security account to us how many ot our children have died under one week, one month.”
The Catholic priest had supported Mr Buhari’s election in 2015. In 2019, he met with the president after urging Nigerians to pray so that the country would overcome “impending unimaginable difficulty” that year.
In his latest in-your-face homily, Mbaka lambasted Mr Buhari.
“Now God has asked me to withdraw and prophesy against you. Listen, I repeat it again, is it not shameful that a president of a country will be sick and there is no hospital in the whole country to treat him, and he will fly out? If other Nigerians are sick, will they fly away?
“So Buhari and those that want to fight: before you start to fight, remember there was a time God asked me to support you, people.”
