Men arrested in Sydney with ideological links to Bondi shooters

Seven men believed to have ideological links to the two shooters behind Sunday’s Bondi terror attack were arrested in Sydney’s south-west, Australian broadcaster ABC reported on Friday.
New South Wales police arrested the seven men, who had travelled from the neighbouring state of Victoria in two vehicles, in the Sydney suburb of Liverpool on Thursday.
NSW Police deputy commissioner David Hudson told ABC Radio Sydney there was “some indication that Bondi was one of the locations they may be visiting”.
Mr Hudson said that police initially did not have “definitive links between the individuals who committed these atrocities on Sunday and these (men arrested) yesterday, apart from potential commonality in some thinking”.
On Sunday, two attackers opened fire on crowds celebrating the Jewish festival of Hanukkah at Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach, killing 15 people and injuring dozens. Most of the victims were Jewish.
One of the attackers was shot dead by security forces, while the other was injured and later charged with 15 counts of murder and 40 counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent to murder.
