Bernard Doro, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, has called on residents of Plateau to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

Mr Doro made the call during an expanded stakeholders meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the northern senatorial zone of Plateau on Saturday in Jos.

The minister, who called for unity of purpose among APC members in Plateau, insisted that only a united front would enable the party to triumph in 2027.

Mr Doro particularly welcomed those who newly joined the party and assured them of a level playing field.

“We held a similar meeting in December 2025, and we agreed to meet regularly to interact and review the political situation within the zone.

“However, we must unite to achieve our goal, and this goal is to re-elect Tinubu again in 2027.

“Let us march and make sure that 2027 is a resounding success,” he said.

Mr Doro promised to support the party at the zonal and state level, stating that the progress of the APC was synonymous with the growth of Nigeria.

He urged the stakeholders to encourage residents to take advantage of the ongoing APC electronic registration exercise to obtain their membership cards.

The minister also advised the stakeholders to mobilise party members to attend the grand reception for Governor Caleb Mutfwang into the APC on Tuesday, January 27.
