Mo Salah, Ngolo Kante, Messi, Ronaldo shortlisted for best FIFA player awards 2021

FIFA said the winners will be revealed at an online ceremony on 17 January 2022.

Liverpool star Mo Salah, Chelsea defensive midfielder Ngolo Kante, PSG striker Lionel Messi and Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo were all shortlisted for FIFA best player awards 2021.

“The winners will be revealed at an online ceremony on 17 January 2022,” FIFA said in a statement.

In the best FIFA player of the year men’s category, Karim Benzema (France/Real Madrid), Kevin De Bruyne (Belgium/Manchester City).

Then we have Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal/Juventus/Manchester United), Erling Haaland (Norway/BV Borussia 09 Dortmund), and Jorginho (Italy/Chelsea) made the list.

Others include N’Golo Kanté (France/Chelsea), Robert Lewandowski (Poland/Bayern München), Kylian Mbappé (France/Paris Saint-Germain).

Also, Lionel Messi (Argentina/Barcelona/Paris Saint-Germain), Neymar (Brazil/Paris Saint-Germain), and Mohamed Salah (Egypt/Liverpool).

For best goalkeeper award in the men’s category, Alisson Becker (Brazil/Liverpool), Gianluigi Donnarumma (Italy/AC Milan/Paris Saint-Germain).

Followed by Édouard Mendy (Senegal/Chelsea), Manuel Neuer (Germany/Bayern München) and Kasper Schmeichel (Denmark/Leicester City), all made the list.
