Morocco 2025: Sadio Mane’s lone goal sends Senegal into AFCON final

Senegal are through to the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco following a 1-0 win over Egypt in their semifinal clash at the Grand Stade de Tanger in Tangier on Wednesday night.
A goal by Sadio Mane in the 78th minute through a low shot from yards out beat goalkeeper Mohammed El Shenawy to send the Teranga Lions to the final of the tournament.
The Egyptians launched late efforts to equalise but the defence of Senegal ensured the West African country secured the advantage despite the absence of Kalidou Koulibaly, who was subbed off in the 23rd minute due to injury.
Senegal will await the winner of the second semifinal match between host Morocco and Nigeria to know their opponent in the final.
Unfortunately, Senegal will be without Koulibaly and Habib Diarra in the final after they both received yellow cards against Egypt.
