Telecommunications company MTN has announced a network outage in Abuja and five states.

The company issued a “Network Outage Alert!” to its subscribers on Thursday.

“We’re experiencing network challenges in some parts of Oyo, Lagos, Rivers, FCT, and Delta States, and our services may be temporarily unavailable as a result,” MTN said.

It added, “Our engineers are working to restore services as soon as possible.”

MTN has 100,859,578 subscribers in Nigeria, according to data the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) released in July 2026.
