My followers will ‘kill’ anyone against me: Apostle Suleman

Apostle Johnson Suleman of Omega Fire Ministry has boasted that whoever says anything negative against him will be killed by a mob of his followers or get badly beaten by cultists whom he has helped.
Mr Suleman, in his sermon, spoke about the influence he has over people by being kind to them.
“If you want to die, for example, you want to die, and you have been praying for how to die, and death hasn’t come. And so desire death, there is a way to make it happen,” said Mr Suleman.
“Just go to Auchi and stand by the front gate of our church and say something against me. Somebody will kill you. Another will bury you, and the third will be doing praise and worship on your dead body. Why? Kindness. Not prayer, not miracles,” Mr Suleman boasted.
Peoples Gazette cannot ascertain when he delivered this sermon, a video of which Sahara Reporters published on Friday.
The cleric said he once had an experience where cultists who had benefited from his act of kindness gang-beat a critic, compelling the man to apologise to him.
“I’ve had cult boys bring people to me saying this boy was insulting you. We beat am. So we say make he apologise. I said, ‘Who are you?’ They said you no go like who we be. But you helped us. Kindness!” Mr Suleman said.
The cleric also claimed that a member of an armed gang who knew him saved him from being shot. However, The Gazette could not verify Mr Suleman’s claim.
Mr Suleman’s boast gives insight into the influence Nigerian clerics have over their cult-like followers.
