The Nigerian Air Force says it will partner the aviation ministry to host the forthcoming Nigeria International Air Show in 2025.

NAF announced this in a statement on Tuesday.

According to the statement, the Chief of Air Staff, Hassan Abubakar, said this when he paid a courtesy visit to Keyamo in his office.

Mr Abubakar said that NAF had been independently planning its own air show before it got to know about the ministry’s similar initiative to organise one in Lagos.

He said that the united approach would significantly enhance the event’s impact and reinforce global appeal.

Mr Keyamo described Mr Abubakar’s foresight as a critical step towards showcasing Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace capabilities to the world.

“The minister said that the synergy between the ministry and the NAF would fast-track the achievements of shared objectives.

“To ensure the seamless planning and execution of the event, the duo jointly announced the establishment of an eight-member committee.

“The committee comprises representatives from both the ministry and the NAF, to coordinate all aspects of the Air Show, including logistics, international collaborations, and stakeholders’ engagement,” said the statement.

It added, ”The 2025 Nigeria International Air Show is expected to attract global players in aviation and aerospace, including manufacturers, investors, regulators, and enthusiasts.”

It said the show would be a platform for showcasing cutting-edge technologies, fostering partnerships, and exploring opportunities for the advancement of Nigeria’s aviation sector.

“Nigeria is set to create a world-class event that would spotlight the nation’s aviation and aerospace industries to drive economic growth, innovation, and international recognition with the partnership,” the statement explained.
