Naija Ratel Women Football Club on Wednesday in Abuja whipped Joty Sports Queens FC 9-0 to win the 2022 FCT FA Cup.

In the competition’s final match played at the Area 3 pitch, Naija Ratels dominated the game from the beginning to the end.

Motunrayo Ezekiel opened the scoring in the first minute of the game, before Aminat Bello doubled the lead five minutes later.

Tumininu Adesina scored the third goal in the 14th minute, while Sofiyat Bankole added the fourth goal a minute later.

Olamide Oyinlola extended their lead with the fifth goal  in the 28th minute, while Aminat Folorunso scored the sixth and seventh goals in the 32nd and 39th minutes.

Despite the 7-0 deficit, Joty Sports Queens fought hard after the resumption of the second half to reduce the scoreline.

But they were unable to convert any of their scoring chances to goal.

It was Naija Ratels rather who continued to score, with Bello adding the eighth and ninth goals in the 59th and 67th minutes.

Both sides were the only teams which competed in the women’s FA Cup competition. Naija Ratels FC and Joty Sports Queens FC will now represent FCT in the draw for the Aiteo Cup competition.
