Nasarawa affirms commitment to rural development
The Nasarawa State Government has said it is committed to the development of rural areas through its policies and programmes.
The state Commissioner for Water Resources and Rural Development, Mohammed Muluku, stated this on Tuesday while playing host to the Ezhiba community of the state in Nassarawa Eggon LGA.
Mr Muluku said that Governor Abdullahi Sule had developed many rural areas as well as provided potable water across communities to improve the lives of the rural dwellers.
He appreciated the community for always identifying with the state government’s policies and programmes and called for more support for Mr Sule’s administration to succeed.
“Governor A. A. Sule had constructed many roads and executed various water supply projects in communities across the state,” he said.
The commissioner also used the medium to call on the community to continue to remain united, embrace peace and support Mr Sule’s administration to succeed.
Mr Muluku also appreciated the community for identifying with him over the death of Senator Godiya Akwashiki (SDP-Nasarawa North).
He urged the people of the community to pray for the repose of the soul of Mr Akwashiki.
Earlier, the delegation of the Ezhiba community condoled with Mr Muluku over Mr Akwashiki’s death.
The village head of the community, Danlami Umbugadu, said that the visit was to appreciate the commissioner for attracting a school project to the area.
