The All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders Women Group in Nasarawa State has lauded the only female lawmaker in the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Dr. Hajarat Danyaro (APC-Nasarawa Central), for her outstanding performance.

The Leader of the group, Aisha Danladi, gave the commendation when she led members of the group on a solidarity visit to Ms Danyaro in Lafia on Thursday.

She said that the visit was to appreciate the lawmaker for the good things she was doing for women and urged her to sustain the spirit.

Ms Danladi said that they were highly impressed and happy with her representation and performance at the state assembly.

She also commended her for standing for women, especially in politics and other aspects of life, saying that Nasarawa women had never had it so good.

Ms Danladi acknowledged her role in standing for women councillors across the 13 Local Government Areas in the state, and the sponsoring of the first private member bill to be passed into law.

She assured the lawmaker of the state’s women support to enable her to succeed beyond 2027.

Responding, Ms Danyaro, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Women Affairs, assured them of her commitment to do more for the women and the state at large.

She appreciated Governor Abdullahi Sule for carrying women along in his administration and appealed for more in that direction.

Mr Danyaro appreciated the support she was getting from the Speaker of the House, Dr. Danladi Jatau.

The lawmaker assured of continued quality representation in the state legislature.
