The speaker of the Nasarawa House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, has solicited the prayers and support of all Nigerians to enable leaders to succeed.

This is contained in a statement issued by his press secretary, Jibrin Gwamna, and made on Friday in Lafia.

The statement was released to commemorate June 12, marking the 27th Democracy Day celebration in Nigeria.

The speaker also urged Nigerians to intensify prayers for the nation to overcome its emerging challenges.

He further called for increased prayers and enhanced support for leaders and government at all levels to deliver more democratic dividends to the people.

The Nasarawa State number three citizen described the day as unique and historic in the nation’s journey, saying it is worth celebrating.

Mr Jatau felicitated President Bola Tinubu, Governor Abdullahi Sule, and all citizens on this year’s Democracy Day celebration.

Mr Jatau reassured the 7th Nasarawa House of Assembly, under his leadership, that it would continue to do its best to ensure that the much-needed dividends of democracy were delivered to the people.

He acknowledged the giant contributions of the nation’s founding fathers, whose efforts, he said, would never go in vain.

Mr Jatau called on citizens to keep hope alive and support the government and leaders at all levels to succeed.

“And continue to pray for the nation to overcome its security, economic, and other emerging challenges for the benefit of all,” he said.

Mr Jatau reaffirmed his commitment to an all-inclusive administration while assuring that the house was ready to continue partnering and synergising with other arms of government to move the state to greater heights.

The speaker appreciated his colleagues for their understanding, cooperation, and support.

He thanked the entire citizenry of the state for their show of solidarity, understanding, and support for the government of the day and assured them of better days ahead.

Mr Jatau also reminded citizens of the need to sustain peace and unity, free from religious, ethnic, political, or other differences.
