Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, has urged Nigerians to pray fervently for God’s intervention to end banditry, kidnapping and other socio-economic crises in the country.

Mr Jatau made the call at the retirement service of Rev. Samuel Amari, who is in charge of Evangelical Reforms Church of Christ LCC Aboshon, in the Nasarawa Eggon Local Government Area of the state.

Mr Jatau said that Nigeria required prayers from all and sundry to tackle its numerous challenges, hence the need for all to unite through prayers, commitment and sacrifices, to address them.

The speaker charged men of God to always unite and preach for peace and economic prosperity of the nation.

He said, ‘‘Let’s all pray fervently for the peace and unity of Nigeria, irrespective of religious, tribal and political affiliations.’’

He told the worshippers, particularly the gathering of retired and serving clerics, to commit Nigeria into hands of God Almighty to end banditry, kidnapping, and economic crisis in the country.

The speaker also called on them and other Nigerians to pray for leaders at all levels, rather than inciting negative comments on them and creating division among Nigerians, adding that such would bring setbacks to the development of the country.

Mr Jatau congratulated retired Rev. Samuel Amari on his service to God Almighty and humanity, urging others to emulate him in preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ in their various churches in the state.

He called on the congregation to support Governor Abdullahi Sule, President Bola Tinubu and other leaders, to enable them to succeed in piloting the affairs of the state and the country in general.

Shortly after the service, the Special Adviser to Governor Abdullahi Sule on Media and Publicity, Dr Nawani Aboki, congratulated the celebrator for serving God and humanity faithfully.

He urged him and other serving reverends to follow his footsteps to attract wisdom and guidance in discharging their responsibilities.

The guest speaker, Registrar of ERCC Theological Seminary, Fadan Ayu, Kaduna State, Rev. Affiku Monday, encouraged the serving reverends not to give up in preaching the gospel of Christ as their rewards were from God Almighty.

The cleric read from Mathew 19: 16-29 with the topic “The rewards of serving God faithfully.”

Mr Monday charged the gathering to always support clerics, cater for their needs and encourage them to discharge their work effectively.

Retired Rev. Amari of the ERCC LCC Aboshon, Nasarawa Eggon LGA, appreciated Mr Jatau, reverend fathers and members of the church for attending the special service in his honour.
