The Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Lafia has nullified the election of Governor Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress.

Delivering the judgment virtually on Monday, the tribunal’s chairman, Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, declared Emmanuel Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party as the duly elected governor of Nasarawa State.

The ruling witnessed two justices agreeing that the PDP won the election, while one judge disagreed.

The election,  which was Mr Sule’s second term bid, saw him poll 47,209 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Mr Ombugadu, who secured 283,016.
