NASFAT holds global prayer for Nigeria’s security, peace

The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has organised a special prayer for Nigeria’s peace, unity and progress, as well as an end to security challenges in the country.
The chief missioner of NASFAT, Sheikh Abdul-Azeez Onike, made this known in a statement in Lagos on Monday.
He expressed concern over banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities in different parts of the country.
He said the prayer session was held simultaneously at 360 locations worldwide.
According to him, the prayer session brought together thousands of worshippers, Islamic scholars, community leaders and members of the public.
Mr Onike said NASFAT was committed not only to spiritual development but also to fostering peace, unity and socio-economic advancement of Nigeria and other countries.
The cleric urged Nigerians to intensify prayers for the nation while supporting efforts to strengthen security.
According to him, while government agencies continue to work tirelessly to improve the security situation, citizens also have a responsibility to cooperate with security agencies, promote peaceful coexistence and contribute positively to nation-building.
Mr Onike said that God would always answer the prayers of sincere believers.
He encouraged Nigerians not to lose hope despite challenges.
The cleric said that NASFAT offered prayers for President Bola Tinubu, state governors, lawmakers, security personnel, and other individuals entrusted with the country’s leadership.
Mr Onike said NASFAT prayed for victims of insecurity and their families.
He called on Muslims to remain steadfast in their faith, uphold righteousness and demonstrate patience, perseverance and trust in Allah in all circumstances.
He also urged Nigerians to shun actions that could cause division and unrest, stressing that unity, mutual respect, and collective responsibility remained essential ingredients for sustainable peace and national development.
