NCoS promotes 263 prison officers in Katsina

The Nigerian Correctional Service has promoted 263 officers in Katsina.
The NCoS comptroller in Katsina, Umar Baba, disclosed this on Friday during the decoration of 41 promoted officers.
According to him, the promoted officers represent various ranks, including assistant controller of corrections and chief superintendent of corrections.
Other ranks promoted include the superintendent of corrections, the deputy superintendent of corrections, and the assistant superintendent of corrections I.
Mr Baba commended the interior minister, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for approving the promotion of 16,586 personnel nationwide and praised the NCoS comptroller-general, Sylvester Ndidi-Nwakuche, for his leadership.
The comptroller further urged the officers to justify their promotion through professionalism, discipline, and dedication.
Some of the promoted officers pledged to redouble their dedication and commitment to advancing the service.
NCoS public relations officer in Katsina, Najib Idris-Kunduru, was also promoted and decorated with the rank of DSC.
The ceremony was attended by sister security agencies, government officials, custodial centre heads, retired officers, and families of the promoted officers.
