NDA to begin shooting exercise, advises residents to stay away

The Nigerian Defence Academy on Thursday announced plans to conduct a live firing exercise for cadets of the 76 Regular Course. This was disclosed in a statement.
It said the exercise would take place from April 23 to 25, at the NDA Open Range in Afaka.
It explained that the exercise would involve both day and night firing activities.
It assured residents of Mando, Tsamiya, Kauya and the Afaka general area that adequate safety measures had been put in place to ensure a secure and successful exercise.
The statement, however, urged the public to keep away from the exercise area and avoid trespassing throughout the period.
He appealed to the public to cooperate with the academy by strictly adhering to the safety advisory.
